About Us
From the beginning, water wells have been a family affair. Jarrell Dowell began working with his brother Donald in the mid 1970's drilling and servicing water wells. In October of 1980, Jarrell founded Dowell Water Well Service to focus on the service side of the business. A year later, he married his wife, Belle, who helps run the business behind the scenes. His two sons Jarrell Dale and John began working with him as teenagers. Today, Jarrell Dale continues to help his father run the business while John has moved to the Austin area to continue the tradition of great customer service operating his own business. Here are a few pictures looking back on the past 35 years.
Licensing
Dowell Water Well Service operates under the supervision of two master pump installers licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation:
- Jarrell Dowell, Sr. - #4187 and
- Jarrell Dowell, II - #4354.
The master pump installer licenses make us qualified to work on:
- windmills, hand pumps, and pump jacks;
- single phase pumps;
- three phase pumps; and
- line-shaft turbine pumps.
Jarrell Dowell, II is also licensed by the Texas Commission on Enviromental Quality as a Water Treatment Specialist II (License #WT0005027).
